The Bakong KHQR Code Generator creates a payment QR code for your Cambodian bank account that customers can scan with any Bakong-member banking app, including ABA Mobile, ACLEDA, Wing, Sathapana, and the Bakong app itself. Built to the official KHQR standard published by the National Bank of Cambodia, it supports both static QR codes where the customer types the amount and dynamic QR codes with a fixed amount in US Dollars or Khmer Riel, plus optional bill numbers and store labels for reconciliation. Everything is generated inside your browser from the public EMVCo specification — no Bakong API token, no merchant gateway fees, and nothing is ever uploaded to a server.
This free tool by Hosting Cambodia is made for shop owners, cafés, freelancers, and online sellers in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Battambang and across Cambodia who want to accept KHQR payments without paying for a gateway. Enter your Bakong account ID (shown in your banking app, like yourname@bank), add your shop name and city, and download a print-ready QR in seconds. Always test your new QR with a small real payment before printing it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Bakong API token or merchant account to use this?
No. Creating a KHQR code only requires your Bakong account ID, which every Bakong-member bank account already has. API tokens are only needed to verify transactions programmatically, which this tool does not do — your banking app notifies you of payments as usual.
What is the difference between a static and a dynamic KHQR code?
A static QR has no amount — the customer scans it and types how much to pay, so you can print one sticker for the counter. A dynamic QR includes a fixed amount (and optionally a bill number), which is ideal for invoices or per-order checkout. Leave the amount blank for static, or fill it for dynamic.
Is it safe to generate my payment QR in a browser tool?
Yes — this generator runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing to any server, and a KHQR code only contains RECEIVING details (your account alias and name), never anything that lets someone take money out. Still, always scan and test with a small payment to confirm funds arrive in your account before you print and display the code.
